This dimmer requires recessed installing method. Location is visible, there's signal light and it helps to locate dimmer. You can switch lighting ON and OFF (short touch) and dimming option is available via long touch. The last selected brightness is retained in the memory. When power is cut off and back on then goes in OFF state.
